Speed dating is perfect for busy singles that need to meet more people and don\'t have the time to go the traditional dating route. It works so well because people who speed date are generally serious about wanting to be in a relationship.
You spend 4 minutes with a person to see if you would like to get together again in the future. If you are interested in each other you will be able to get back in contact by simply entering a tick on the Speeding Ticket corresponding to the person you like. This means you may want to see that person again.
You will usually get a minimum of 15 dates and up to 20 in an evening which gives a great chance to meet someone who you are attracted to.
You should dress casually, but look nice. Each event lasts about 2 hours and you can bring a friend if you want. They may have a good time too or just be there to support you.
When you arrive for your speed date you will be welcomed, checked in, and given a personalized numbered name badge and a pen. You can head over to the bar for a drink after that. You want to feel comfortable.

If you like someone the next day you can call the office of the dating service or go online and enter your ticks. You can view how many ticks you have gotten and you will be matched accordingly. You will also get an email and a text message if you have a cell phone.
Speed dating works because you are able to quickly work through a group of people in one setting. The matching of ticks allows you to follow-up and set up your first date.
